Wow,
just updated and already out-dated. So here comes the newest update of the blog engine and with it a new gallery system! Yes, I need to create the content for the gallery little by little and probably, I won’t be able to import all the stuff from the old ones, but I will upload some nice pictures for sure! So find the gallery link in the menu above and have a look. I’m open for suggestions.

Moin Moin Allerseits!

Heute hatte ich die Ehre den welt-weit bekannten Photographen Peter Turnley zu treffen. Er gab einen Vortrag ueber sein Leben und seine Arbeit als Photojournalist im Community College mit anschlieszender zunaechst allgemeiner und dann kurzer einzel-fragerunde.

Ein wirklich bemerkenswerter Mensch! Er hat ueber 90 Laender dieser Erde bereist und kann aus allen eine Anekdote zum Besten geben. Trotz all des Erfolgs jedoch vollkommen auf dem Boden geblieben.

Hallo Welt,

Soo – nachdem mein armes CANON EF 50mm f/1.4 USM nach der Reparatur nun unt?É¬§tig daheim rumchillt, musste ich noch vor meinem (verdienten!) Urlaub nach einer Alternative schauen, da weder das CANON EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 noch das Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 den Aufgaben in alpinem Gebiet gewappnet ist. So bin ich nun stolzer Besitzer folgenden guten St?É¬ºcks:

Tamron SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di II LD Aspherical [IF]

Der wahrscheinlich l?É¬§ngste und kryptischste Name f?É¬ºr eine Linse. Versucht das mal in einem Atemzug auszusprechen …

Ich geh dann mal was vor die Linse holen …

Hey folks,

thanks for stopping by again! Well – long time no see — and I apologize! Got some interesting travel and other stuff going on lately.

Guess, I gotta say ‘happy new year’ to everyone before I continue!!

I’m going to write something about our trip to New York City (which was awesome by the way!) and will also upload the latest pictures from there!

Talking of which – I attanded the North American International Autoshow (NAIAS) in Detroit and also made some pics there. Think I found my new car (come on – everybody needs dreams, right? *sigh*)

New Year – New Gallery. That’s what I thought at least. So I tried to bring up a new gallery system for my site. Bigger, better, faster, stringer, and so forth. But actually it got more like minimalistic. Well, check it out for yourself and tell me what you think:

Migrating all the content and adjusting the system to my likes took longer than expected. But finally everything worked out – Sorry guys, but all the user names with funny signs in it (e.g. ^^) had to be removed (those things gave my migration scripts a damn hard time) – please register again and I’ll put you back into your groups.

What else is new? Erm – dunno. You tell me :)

I’ll know go and watch a movie or something.

I think, I’m not going to post the ones from the party one day later – they are so emberassing in quality that I’d rather not release them for public critics. Jammed

Darn it …

My Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 recently stopped listening to any focusing commands. It is somehow jammed inside and doesn’t move anymore neither in manual nor auto focus mode. I gotta get it to Germany asap in order to get it fixed. I should think about getting global warrenty options for my lenses to get them repaired whereever on this planet. Oh well – I still owe you guys all the pictures from the last events and daytrips which should be able to be uploaded tomorrow. *sigh* …
